Seeing Through Eyes of Service

How are things different when we see through eyes of service, and what difference does this make in the lives of ourselves and others?

When we see the through eyes of service, service to God and all others, as parts and parcel of god, then it can be a complete perception shift.

Some may question whether this is a good perception to have, as often being of service or a servant can be looked down upon as a lowly way to be.

Yet it actually is our true state as whether we realise it or not we are always serving something, when we are unaware of it and do not choose to direct our service towards god we subsequently get caught in serving the material and become entangled in a material trap. As many of us may have experienced that material things only bring a fleeting sense of satisfaction and sometimes not even that.

We can see life differently when we begin to see through the eyes of serving god in our natural constitutional position.

These are some of the ways you can begin to experience life in this way.

Contentment
Through my own experience we can begin to feel a state of contentment that nothing in the material sense can provide. This contentment is often what we are searching for when chasing material things, yet we can never find it there no matter how hard we try.

Humility and Gratitude
In serving god we humble ourselves in realising that in the whole picture all is actually provided for and to us by god and everything we do is a way of giving back. When we realise how much is not within our control everything we then do is in service, we have a natural gratitude that can arise for all the beauty that is here and for all that we have. We will then naturally want to continually serve once we realise this deeper.

Love
As we see through the eyes of service more and more, we will be living in a way of a loving servant and how this plays out in the world. Whether that be to a child, to a parent, friends brothers and sisters, the more we see in a way of how can i serve, the more loving we become and as we are, we will see. Life becomes much more beautiful this way and we can notice the that is love within everything and everyone.

Life always offers us choices each moment of every day and its these choices that ultimately decide how our life will become and we experience. We have been given the free will to choose that which we serve, therfore why serve something that is empty, when we can serve in our truth.

Sometimes we have to see and feel for ourselves to know the difference, so why not try and see the outcomes.  Living in this way is and will be a daily practice, and our own experiences can often provide the greatest realisations.

What is Krishna Wisdom?

Krishna Wisdom is a spiritual initiative based at Bhaktivedanta Manor, working in collaboration with School of Bhakti that is aimed at providing spiritual wisdom to seekers of spirituality and philosophy.

We believe that ‘Change begins within’ and hence, an inner transformation precedes universal betterment.

Our aim is to provide knowledge and wisdom of spiritual matters through events, music, courses and most of all – love and spiritual friendship.
