BHAGAVAD GITA FEATURE

Lord Krishna descended to earth over 5,000 years ago and spoke the sublime knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita to His friend Arjuna. In the final moments before the beginning of an historic battle, Arjuna a great warrior begins questioning: “Why should I fight? What is the meaning of life? What happens after death?”. In response Krishna who is acting as the chariot driver of Arjuna brings his friend from perplexity to a state of spiritual enlightenment.

The Bhagavad Gita is renowned as the jewel of all India’s Vedic literatures and for centuries has been studied and revered by many great philosophers and scholars around the world . It is composed of 700 sanskrit verses of timeless wisdom, providing a definitive guide to the science of self realisation. The subjects delineated include explanations of the supreme soul (God), the universe, nature of individual consciousness, karma (work in this world), time, and creation.

The ancient voice of the Gita speaks a lucid and profound message to us here in the modern world.

“When doubts haunt me, when disappointments stare me in the face, and I see not one ray of hope on the horizon, I turn to Bhagavad-gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meanings from it every day.”
Mahatma Gandhi

“When I read the Bhagavad-Gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous.”
Albert Einstein

“The Bhagavad-Gita is a true scripture of the human race, a living creation rather than a book, with a new message for every age and a new meaning for every civilization.”
Aldous Huxley
